Archimedes Writing


Along time ago an Ancient Greece there was a great mathematician
named
Archimedes.One day when he was taking a bath he discovered something life changing.When he got in some water got displaced and it overflowed over the bath tub.Archimedes discovery got  him thinking.He was so excited that he run thru the streets without any clothes on shouting  Eureka   Eureka.This meant i have found it in Greek.Archimedes figured out that if you put something in water and  it light  is then the amount of water being displayed the object will float.This is known as buoyancy or the Archimedes principle.So if an  the object can float it is buoyant.

Fiafia

What is FIAFIA?


Do you want to know what Fiafia is? Well  you came to the right person
I can tell you what FiaFia is to Pt England School. Last year in 2013 we had a Fantastic time at the school Fiafia.

Fiafia means a celebration of cultures dance and other performances.The Fiafia group that I am in this year is Hip hop.We are doing 3 songs to our dance. My Favourite song in the dance is could Srkillex

My KC's Reflection

Do you know your key competences or for short KC’S.Well if you don't know then you came to the right person.I am going to tell you what the  key competences are.

A key competence that I am good at is could Participating and
contirticipating.That mean joining in on something and giving an
answer.I am successful at it because I always join in on something
like a game and I give answers.I am successful at this key competence when the teacher is asking a question and when we
doing something or playing a game

A Key competence that I need to improve on is Relating to others.
I need to improve on Relating to Others because I need to be able
to share with others and be kind to them.Also I have to learn to
be nice to others and careful.

7. What does the colour of the monarch mean to enemies? The colour means is a warning to the predators.

My Camp Writing.

Do you know what year 5 and 6 were doing last week?The year 5 and 6 had a school camp.
Our First game we played was top town.The All stars and the other group had to fill up water balloons for a water balloon fight.


Later on it was lunch time.Everyone had to line up for fruit and some cookies.After that we went and played some more games.


We also cook with Miss Tito. We cooked Corn Fritters.We cook it on a BBQ.After the corn fritters were we eat them i’ made me a little fritter.


One the last day of camp all of the camp groups went on the bus to the mangere pool’s.It was awesome there.There were bombing pools and water slides and lots of pools.


Camp this year sure was a wonderful time.My Favourite thing that we did at camp was being at the mangere pools.I enjoyed camp because we did really cool games.During camp I felt happy because I was with all my friends and we got to play before and do before.

2. How did the harakeke move to make the children feel  welcome?Tawhirimatea has chosen a
Cloudy day for Harvesting so the leaves of the Harakeke were waving towards to the kids to make them feel welcome.

3. When was the harakeke planted?The Harakeke was planted in 1987

4. How does the harakeke standing tall make the children feel?It makes them feel Proud

5. Why is any left over harakeke returned to the bushes?The people put the leftover flax under the flax bushes so that they will help them grow

Sentence to copy on with your picture: We have been reading about a Hauhake Harakeke ceremony. This is one thing that the children in the story made from the flax blades.

Life Cycle of A Frog

Do you know the four stages of a frogs life cycle ? Well you have came to the right man.I can tell you all  of  the transformation of  a frog.  

The first life cycle of a frog is  Egg.The Egg is covered with sticky jelly to protect it.The sticky jelly protect’s the egg from enemies.

The next life cycle of a frog is a tadpole.The tadpole hatches out of its egg and starts to eat the egg that it was born in.Tadpoles have a tail but no legs.The tadpole have gills to breath in the water.




The next life cycle of a frog is a  froglet .
The Froglet has back legs and its tail starts to disappear.The gill’s disappear and lugs grow.The Froglet likes to hide behind leaves and stones so they don't get eaten by predators.


The Last  step of a Frog is a Adult Frog.The Adult  Frog has no gills and tail.The Adult is now ready to live on land.That is the Frogs life cycle.

Being a good friend is to be Sharing,Kind,Nice,Generous and Trustworthy.For example if you didn’t have any lunch your friend could offer you a snack.  


Being a Sharing friend is being shareful like offering food asking them if they want some of
your chips or half of your sandwich.Sharing is sharing things with others.A sharing friend is
someone who will offer you to play with them.


A Nice friend is being a nice to everyone and being kind.
You can be a nice friend by helping others and sharing.
Being a nice friend is being helpful and good to everyone.
